FAULHABER has been producing and distributing drive solutions in Switzerland for more than 60 years. In June 2023, the four subsidiaries in Switzerland merged into a single company under the new name Faulhaber SA. The headquarters are located in Croglio, Ticino, where Faulhaber initially founded its first Swiss location in 1962.
The site in Croglio, located close to the Italian border, is covering an area of around 6600 m² and employs 296 people who develop and produce a broad spectrum of motor, gearhead and linear drive technology that form part of the extensive range of FAULHABER products. A large proportion of the components and drive systems manufactured there is destined for renowned Swiss companies producing medical and laboratory equipment, optics, watches as well as automation and robotics systems. The close proximity to Swiss customers and to precision parts suppliers based in Switzerland makes the local expertise and technical know-how in many different application fields an important locational advantage.
La Chaux-de-Fonds is the second largest site in Switzerland and is located in the French-speaking part, at the heart of the traditional watch industry, where many companies specialise in microtechnology. It currently has around 100 employees. The company (previously ARSAPE), which was established in 1988, has been a globally active part of the company group since 2001 and focuses on the development, manufacture and marketing of the renowned stepper motor technology from FAULHABER. An innovative technological motor design and specially developed manufacturing processes allow the drives to be quickly adapted to customer-specific requirements.
In addition to Croglio and La Chaux-de-Fonds, we are glad to have two additional smaller sites in Grenchen and Bioggio which employ together around 50 employees and produce mainly metal geared parts for the entire FAULHABER Group.
