Would you like to know what we at FAULHABER do to protect the privacy of your data? We will explain all the details here. In principle, storing and using your data is subject to your consent. Or legal approval. This depends on what we do with your data.
1. Introduction The abbreviation "GDPR" is used here as a short form for the EU General Data Protection Regulation. The following information serves to fulfil the information obligations for areas in which FAULHABER as the responsible party collects, processes or uses personal data, in a transparent form. In accordance with Art. 13 (or Art. 14) of the GDPR, FAULHABER informs data subjects about the detailed circumstances of the collection and use of personal data. This is for transparency reasons. The information is structured as follows in the form of
- general information, regardless from which target group you as the data subject are.
- Targeted disclosures from FAULHABER, depending on which target group you belong to. Each target group has a separate section below.

- There is currently no automated decision making including profiling.
- If FAULHABER intends to process the personal data for a purpose other than that for which the personal data were collected, FAULHABER shall make information about this other purpose and all other relevant information available to the data subject prior to such further processing. Separate information is not necessary if the other purpose is compatible with the previous purposes for which legitimacy was given or if the legitimate interests of FAULHABER outweigh the former.

You are currently on our website. We temporarily store your anonymised IP address in order to find and correct technical errors. 3.2 Use of etracker for web analytics For the purpose of website analytics, this website uses the technology of etracker GmbH (www.etracker.com) to automatically collect and store data from which user profiles are created using pseudonyms. This serves our legitimate interests in the optimised presentation of our offer, provided these do not interfere with your rights. We may use cookies for this purpose. The pseudonymised user profiles will not be joined with the personal data of the person behind the pseudonym without separate, express consent of that person. 3.3 Use of Google Analytics This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. (follows as "Google"). Google Analytics uses so-called "cookies", text files that are stored on your computer and which allow an analysis of the use of the website by you. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. As a result of IP anonymisation enabled on this site, Google will truncate your IP address beforehand within member states of the European Union or other parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be sent to a Google server in the US and shortened there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide other services related to website activity and Internet usage to the website operator. 3.4 Data protection in FAULHABER portals (supplier portal, extranet) Are you signed up on our portal? And would you like to talk to us and others about products, services or order processing? We use your personal data for this purpose: When you create a user account, you can enter a user name or we assign a random name to you. In addition, we may request mandatory information from you. These are, for example, your first name, last name and your e-mail address. Should further data from you be displayed in the service portal, then this is data that we are already familiar with from the ongoing project. Do you want to delete your personal data from the portal? Please contact us by e-mail to data-privacy[at]faulhaber.com stating your name and a request to delete your portal user access.
3.5 Data protection for your newsletter subscriptions Are you currently subscribed to the FAULHABER newsletter? Then you are receiving regular technical information on our innovative miniature and micro drive systems as well as the latest news about FAULHABER. You only receive this information if you have requested it personally. We use your personal data for newsletter subscriptions as follows: When registering for the newsletter, we ask for the following information. These include company, title, first name, last name, e-mail address, telephone number, street and house number, postcode, city and country. We need this information to check whether you have personally requested the newsletters and whether you agree to receive this information. If you agree and have confirmed this by clicking, we send you the desired newsletters addressed to you personally based on your data. Further data can be provided voluntarily by you. We use this data to send the information requested by you as well as in the context of satisfaction surveys, in order to send you suitable and tailored information on the topics you are interested in or have enquired about. You can unsubscribe at any time directly from your newsletter by clicking on "Unsubscribe". You may also withdraw your consent in perpetuity under data-privacy[at]faulhaber.com.
3.6 Data protection for enquiries and the use of offers Do you have a specific enquiry for FAULHABER or would you like to take advantage of a specific offer such as participating in an event? Then you will receive the desired information within the scope of your enquiry. To process your enquiry, it is necessary that you provide further data. This data is required for processing, for example your postal address when sending a ticket for an event. You may provide further information voluntarily. We use your data to render the services requested by you as well as in the context of regular satisfaction surveys and/or service calls (also by third parties), in order to send you suitable and tailored information on the topics you are interested in or have enquired about.
3.7 Chat When you contact us via the chat function of this website, Userlike, a live chat software provided by Userlike UG (limited liability), Probsteigasse 44-46, 50670 Cologne, is used. The legal basis for the integration of Userlike is Art. 6 Par. 1 S. 1 lit. f of the DS-GVO, whereby our legitimate interest is to provide you with a technically reliable live chat function to improve service on our website.
If you select the Userlike widget, a direct connection to the servers of Userlike UG is established. Userlike stores your IP address and uses "cookies" (see section 5) to enable real-time chat. You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser. Please refer to your browser's help function; however, in this case, you may not be able to use the real-time chat function in its entirety.
The following data is collected, processed and stored: Content of the chat, date and time of the call, browser type/version, operating system used, URL of the previously visited website as well as the amount of data sent. The data collected is not combined with personal data. The data will also be stored at Userlike UG. We delete the data after six weeks.

4.1 The purpose of collecting, processing and using the data is the processing of your application, examining it for suitability and establishing contact.
4.2 Legal basis for processing (Art. 6 GDPR) Implementation of (pre-)contractual measures carried out at the request of the data subject or consent to the processing specified in the respective agreement. In principal, FAULHABER observes the requirements of data prevention and data minimization relevant to the intended purposes of processing, taking into account the interests of the data subjects deserving protection.
4.3 Description of the groups of persons concerned and the relevant data or data categories Affected group of persons: Persons applying for a job at FAULHABER. The usual and necessary details of applicants for application procedures are collected and processed.
4.4 Recipients or categories of recipients to whom the data may be communicated All FAULHABER employees who are authorised to perform the specific tasks internally. External contractors as subcontractors within the meaning of Art. 28 GDPR. Accessing personal data is generally not the purpose of the assignment, but it cannot be excluded.
4.5 Data transmission to third countries Data transfers between FAULHABER companies in third countries only occur within the scope of fulfilling the contract. If FAULHABER itself subcontracts in the event of processing an order, these subcontracts are secured through data protection contracts. Corresponding audits take place regularly. 4.6 Storage period or standard periods for the deletion of data The legislator has enacted a variety of storage obligations and periods. After expiry of these periods, the corresponding data is routinely deleted if it is no longer necessary for the fulfilment of the contract. Thus, in accordance with legal regulations, the commercial or financial data of a closed financial year is deleted after a further ten years, unless longer retention periods are prescribed or required for legitimate reasons. Shorter deletion periods are used in special areas (e.g. in personnel administration such as rejected applications or cease and desist letters). If data are not affected by this, they are deleted when the purposes for which they were stored cease to apply.

5.2 Legal basis for processing (Art. 6 GDPR) Depending on the phase of our contact, different legal bases for the processing of your data are conceivable:
- Implementation of (pre-)contractual measures pursuant to your request (this can also be, for example, the registration of your contact data from your business card after a trade fair visit) or consent to processing specified in the respective agreement... (for example in the form of a declaration of consent by e-mail)
- Processing is necessary to fulfil contractual obligations (e.g. for FAULHABER services).
- Possibly also for the protection of the legitimate interests of FAULHABER
In principal, FAULHABER observes the requirements of data prevention and data minimization relevant to the intended purposes of processing, taking into account the interests of the data subjects deserving protection.
5.3 Description of the groups of persons concerned and the relevant data or data categories Affected groups of persons: business contacts of FAULHABER; such as contact persons of customers, service providers, partners. The usual and necessary details of the contacts (last name, first name, salutation, company affiliation, if necessary department, telephone number, e-mail address) are processed.
5.4 Recipients or categories of recipients to whom the data may be communicated All FAULHABER employees who are authorised to perform the specific tasks internally. In the case of payment transactions, credit institutions are provided with the necessary information. External contractors as subcontractors within the meaning of Art. 28 GDPR. Accessing personal data is generally not the purpose of the assignment, but it cannot be excluded.
5.5 Data transmission to third countries Data transfers between FAULHABER companies in third countries only occur within the scope of fulfilling the contract. 5.7 Information about your right to object Art. 21 GDPR You have the right to object to the processing of your data at any time on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 f GDPR (data processing on the basis of a balance of interests) or Art. 6 para. 1 e GDPR (data processing in the public interest) on grounds relating to your particular situation. This also applies to profiling on the basis of these provisions within the meaning of Art. 4 no. 4 GDPR. If you submit an objection, we will no longer process your personal data unless we can substantiate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override your interests, rights and freedoms or for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims. We may also process your personal data for direct marketing purposes. You have the right to object at any time if you do not wish to receive advertising. This also applies to profiling insofar as it is connected with such direct advertising. Your objection will be given prospective effect. We will no longer process your data for direct marketing purposes if you object to processing for these purposes. The objection can be sent informally to the listed address.
