Early in February, Edward McMullen, Ambassador of the United States to Switzerland and Liechtenstein, visited the Tessin. On his agenda was also a visit of FAULHABER Minimotor, where he was received by CEO Karl Faulhaber.
Coordinated by the Kanton Tessin’s Chamber of Commerce (Cc-Ti), Edward McMullen, Ambassador of the United States to Switzerland and Liechtenstein, met representatives of cantonal institutions and visited companies located in the Tessin region.
In Croglio, the Ambassador learned about FAULHABER’s micro- und miniature precision drives, that are being used, for example, in NASA’s InSight Mission to measure seismic activity on Mars with ultra-sensitive instruments. The Ambassador’s delegation was received by Karl Faulhaber, CEO and grand-son of the company’s founder Dr. Fritz Faulhaber and was given a tour of the factory.
The intention of the Ambassador’s two days tour of the region was to increase the relations of the Kanton Tessin with the United States, better understand local economy and intensify the collaboration with science, research and economy.
