Discover endless possibilities

In 1880 the Curie brothers discovered the piezoelectric effect in Rochelle salt: by striking various crsytalline materials one could generate an electric voltage. It was discovered that this was true also for the reverse: if an electric field is placed over piezoelectric material, the material changes shape. This change in shape is the basis of piezo electric motors.

It can be controlled to enable a linear movement. In recent years piezoelectric applications have made their way into the market at a rapid pace.

With the aid of electronics we are better able to exploit the enormous potential of modern piezoelectric materials. They combine sturdiness, speed, power and precision. They have been used successfully for many years in high precision, short stroke applications. Now the latest range of piezoelectric motors starts a new era in motor and motion design.
